We have an all new golf academy where children can learn how to play a new sport, have fun, exercise, get outside and make new friends!
Junior coaching at Pontypridd is all about developing the child as a person, an athlete and a golfer.
Join our weekly group sessions on Tuesday afternoons/evenings after school, including club membership and use of all practice facilities.
Junior memberships include:
- Up to 38 group coaching sessions annually
- Group coaching available through school terms on Tuesdays
- Discounted private junior coaching for members
- Use of the clubhouse
- Unlimited use of the golf course
- Unlimited use of the junior 9 hole course layout
- Use of the indoor putting studio
- Use of the outdoor practice nets (balls provided)
- Use of the academy training aids
- Junior team clothing (TBC)

What are the age categories?
Ages will be split into two age categories depending on numbers at launch. Many of our juniors will be brand new to golf or have some experience with golf already. We will make sure that juniors will socialise with others that are of similar age to help with socialisation.
Ages 6-9 & Ages 10-14
Equipment
Golfers will need their own golf clubs for coaching. We highly recommend beginner golfers and juniors having their own golf clubs, make sure they are age relevant and fit them. It is important that juniors grow out of their equipment rather than grow into it.
